For Hungarian nationals who have worked in the United Kingdom and request jobseeker’s allowance in Hungary, the time spent in employment in the United Kingdom will count towards the period of eligibility. Time spent in employment in Hungary or in another EEA member state and in the United Kingdom in the past three years must count towards eligibility for jobseeker’s allowance.

However, the former portability of unemployment benefits (export of benefits) in the EU will cease for the United Kingdom, and in the future cash benefits will not be available in another Member State in case the entitled person leaves the territory of the Member State of payment.
